What Started Kaizen Learning?

Hi there, I’m Jane!

I'm currently a student at NUS YLL School of Medicine. I wanted to tell you about Kaizen Learning Singapore, a specialised tuition center that my Medical School friends and I have started to help International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), GCE A Level and Integrated Programme (IP) students.

Our team is made up of IBDP/A Level alumni who have excelled in their respective programmes. Our IBDP tutors have a minimum score of 43/45 points and our GCE A Level tutors with a minimum of 85/90 rank points. We are all equipped with at least 3 years of experience and a proven track record.

When I was in St Joseph’s Institution (Independent), I struggled to find tutors who truly understood the structure of the IB programme and the challenges that we students faced. Many of the tutors I encountered were not familiar with the syllabus and work load and I spent most of my lesson time explaining what an IA and EE were to them. It was frustrating not to receive the specialised help I needed. 

Fortunately, I was able to connect with SJI alumni who could provide the guidance I needed to better approach the overwhelming IBDP content, EEs, and IAs. Their insights were invaluable, and now my friends and I are eager to pass on that passion and support to other students.

Having graduated from the course we teach, we understand you/your child's struggles and are able to relate to the challenges and difficulties faced.
